About Pablo

Born in Barcelona on 10 January 1974.

Pablo is an expert in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border investments, as well as commercial contracts, structural reorganizations and refinancing strategies. 

In addition, he advises various boards of directors as secretary. Deeply connected to the business community, he was Vice-President of the International Business Law Commission (IBLC) of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), and an active member of AIJEC Plus within the Catalan Association of Young Entrepreneurs.

Experience

He started at Cuatrecasas and later worked as an in-house counsel at Torraspapel (Lecta Group). In addition, he led the mergers and acquisitions department of Legal Link (now Écija) and, before joining Busquets, he led the Corporate-M&A team of Plana Abogados & Economistas.

Education

Law Degree from the University of Barcelona and Master’s Degree in International and Comparative Business Law (LLM) from the London Metropolitan University.

About Sonia

Born in Barcelona on 25 April 1978.

Sonia specializes in contract and commercial law.

Experience

He has developed his professional career exceptionally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) including investment rounds, acquisition and transfer of companies and assets, as well as in the preparation of all types of commercial contracts.

Before joining Busquets, she worked in important law firms such as Roca Junyent, KPMG Abogados and Dwf-RCD, always focused on corporate and commercial law.

In addition, for several years, she collaborated with prominent firms and companies in the recruitment and retention of legal talent, thus gaining a broader perspective on the sector.

Education

Law Degree from Pompeu Fabra University and Master’s Degree in Business Law (MADE) from the same university.

About Alfonso

Born in Ceuta on 30 August 1996.

Alfonso is a specialist in investment vehicles, capital increases, venture capital, corporate compliance, and money laundering, as well as in the negotiation and preparation of shareholders’ agreements, commercial contracts, and business acquisitions.

Experience

With 5 years of experience in commercial and corporate law, he has attended various courses and conferences on competition law, mediation, legal tech, mortgage law and tourist housing. He has also held prominent positions such as chairman of the International Congress on Mediation, Housing, Family and Inheritance held in February 2020.

In addition, it is worth mentioning his article "El valor de las disposiciones sin vigor", published in issue 03/2021 of the "Revista General de Legislación y Jurisprudencia", the oldest legal journal in Spain and Latin America.

Education

Law Degree from the University of Seville, after obtaining a SICUE scholarship at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he specialized in civil, commercial and banking law, as well as the legal regime of financial markets.
